About the Journal of Gender Research
The journal is an interdisciplinary referee-based periodical, that publishes articles, comments and book reviews. These are presented in both thematic issues and open issues, in four published issues annually.
The main language is Norwegian, but the journal also accepts manuscripts in Swedish and Danish. Manuscripts in English will only be accepted as an exception.
Kilden kjønnsforskning.no is the owner of Tidsskrift for kjønnsforskning. It is published in cooperation with Universitetsforlaget. The journal is a part of the consortium for Norwegian SSH OA journals administered by the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills.
The first issue was published in November 1977, under the name Nytt om kvinneforskning, News about research on women. The name was changed in 2005, to The journal of gender research.
